Quoted from Qld War Memorials
"In 2009 we donated all our research and many thousands of photos to enable the preparation of www.qldwarmemorials.com.au
and this work was undertaken by Matthew Smith.
We had worked closely with Matt as he is Honorary
Historian for Australian War Graves and already had
some 60,000 photos of Australian War Graves in 88 countries.
He worked extremely hard through the Department of Public Works
to get the "Register of Queensland War Memorials" established,
and my reason for contacting you is to let you know that the location of hundreds of Honour Boards is available free on this website.
You may already know all of this. If you don't, though, you can go to www.qldwarmemorials.com.au and Click on "Search the Register". Then click on "Honour Board" , click then on "Search" on the right. This will bring up a very long list of Honour Boards and when you click on any of them a photo will appear. Under the main details click on "View
Additional Information or Images" and extra photos will appear. If you use "Alt plus Click" the names will be much larger and legible for most Honour Boards. Unfortunately some
have been neglected and are very hard to read. You will have to pick out those from World War I."
