LARS ANDERSEN The death of Mr. Lars Andersen occurred in Maryborough last evening, after an illness extending over a period of a fortnight. The deceased was born at Kildebrande, Denmark, and came out to Queensland in 1872 in the ship "Alardis" landing in Maryborough. He worked in the Rubyianna Plantation Bundaberg for a period. Coming to Maryborough, he worked in local sawmills for three or four years. Later on he selected land at Nikenbah, and devoted his attention to dairying and cane farming, meeting with considerable success. The deceased was highly esteemed by all with whom he came in contact. In addition to a wife the deceased is survived two sons, Messrs. Jens Andersen (Bingera Plantation, Bundaberg) and Lars Peter Andersen (Torquay), and two daughters, Mesdames P. Hansen and W. Dyer (Torquay). The deceased is also survived by two brothers, Messrs. Neils Andersen (Pialba) and A. Andersen (Creek-road, Maryborough), and one sister, Mrs. T. Andersen (Maryborough). There are thirteen grandchildren. The funeral will take place at 3.30 pm.     MR. LARS ANDERSEN, an old resident of the Nikenbah district, aged 72 years, died on March 22. The deceased was
    born at Kildebrande, Denmark, and came out to Queensland in 1872 in the ship Alardis landing in Maryborough.
