    SCHMIDT-CUMNER.
    A marriage of interest was celebrated
    in the Roman Catholic Church, Kilcoy,
    on October 8, when Rev. Father
    O'Connor officiated at the marriage
    of Mr. Edward Carl Schmidt (eldest
    son of Mr. G. H. Schmidt, Woolmar,
    Kilcoy) and Miss Ellen May (Dollie)
    Cumner (third daughter of Mr. Thomas
    Cumner, Sheep Station Creek, Kilcoy,
    and late of Wunulla Estate, Mt. Kil-
    coy). The bride, who was given away
    by her father, wore a frock of white
    embroidered mariette over white silk.
    Her long tulle veil was lent by Mrs.
    Jack Cumner, and she carried a
    bouquet of white arum lilies and fern.
    Mrs. Thomas Herd (Redcliffe), who
    attended her sister as matron of
    honour, wore a frock of mastic lace,
    with a hat to tone. Mr. Hector
    McAlpine was best man. The bride's
    travelling frock was of saxe crepe de
    Chine. Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt left
    by car for Brisbane, where the honey-
    moon is being spent.
