    DAY-GUNSTON
A very pretty wedding was solemnised at Machine Creek on September 1, when William George, fourth son of the late Mr. John Day and Mrs. Day, of Rocky Glen, Gladstone, was married to Adelaide Marie Gunston, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Gunston, of Bracewell, Mt. Larcom. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. McAlister.

The bride, who was given away by her father, was frocked in rose-pink, windswept satin made on moulded lines with a scarf draped on the back and long cowl sleeves. The skirt featured a fitting hipline and fell in a full flare. The veil of rose pink net, trimmed with forget-me-nots fell in soft folds to form a train, and was attached to a cap of Chantilly lace, finished with a coronet of ivy, and she carried a bouquet of lilies and azaleas in pink and white, finished in pink and white streamers and a bow of white tulle, to which was attached a small blue horseshoe. Rose pink velvet shoes were worn. A string of pearls and and opal ring (gifts of the bridegroom} completed the bride's toilette.
Miss Mersey Gunston, who attended as chief bridesmaid, wore a frock of coral pink marocain made in the Princess fashion and finished with large velvet bow on the hipline. Miss Charlotte Day. sister of the bridegroom, wore shell pink marocain moulded to her figure with a full flared skirt. Both bridesmaids wore pink velvet caps, finished with short silk net veils and black velvet shoes. They carried Victorian posies of pink roses and lilies, finished with pink and white streamers. Mr. W. Gunston acted as best man and Mr. Arthur Gunston was groomsman.

The Machine Creek Hall was tastefully decorated with a white wedding bell, streamers and palms. The Wedding March was played by Mr. I. Moller, who also played "Because" during the signing of the register.

The wedding breakfast was held at the home of the bride's parents, where the table decorations were carried out in pink and white. Mrs. A. W. Gunston, mother of the bride, worè a frock of brown figured marocain and lace with a hat to tone, Mrs. Day, mother of the bridegroom, wore brown elephant crepe with beige trimming and a hat to match.
The presents were numerous and costly.
On leaving for the north the bride's travelling dress was of Friska cloth in brown toning flecked with silver, with a hat to tone.
