OBITUARY.
A well-known resident of the Pialba district, in the, person of Mr.Lars Bengtson, aged 54 years, died on Thursday morning whilst being conveyed in a boat from Fraser Island to the mainland for medical treatment. The deceased had gone to the Island on business matters and was suddenly taken ill, death supervening before the party reached Pialba. The deceased had spent, most of his life in the Pialba district, and was a grazier at Bingham, River Heads. He leaves a wife and family of five, children to mourn their sad loss. The eldest child is 10 years of age, and the youngest is five. He is also survived by two brothers and three sisters, namely Messrs. Charles Bengtson (Bigenden), Niels Bengtson (Ideraway), and Miss Carrie Bengtson (Biggenden, and Mesdames G. Laurence (Dallarnil) and A. Keen (Nikenbah). The funeral will leave Mrs. Keen's residence this morning at 11 o'clock for Nikenbah the Cemetery.
