COUNTRY WEDDING
The "Macedonian Orangary," Burrum, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on the 9th of May, when Miss Eliza Tench was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Mr. George Wilson Wright, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. H. P. Hare, of Howard.
The house and grounds were very prettily and appropriately decorated, and the orangery laden with its golden fruit and green leaves added charm and beauty to the happy occasion. The bride, who was given away by her father, Mr. John Tench, wore a dainty dress of cream silk embroidered voille, the skirt trimmed with deep tucks. Tie bodice was prettily trimmed with pleated chiffon, finished with silk chiffon. The sleeves were ful1 to elbow, with deep cuff and pleated chiffon, in addition to which was a tasteful silk embroidered veil of tulle, fastened with a wreath of orange blossoms. The Misses Gertrude and May Tench attended as bridesmaid, and were very beautifully and tastefully dressed. Mr. Walter Hart, of Warwick, attended as best man. After the ceremony the wedding breakfast took place in the spacious verandah and the usual toasts were proposed, honoured, and responded to. There was a large company of guests present, being mostly personal friends of the bride, who is extremely popular in the district. Mr. and Mrs. Wright left by the afternoon mail train, and were given a hearty send off by a numerous company at the Burrum railway station. The bride's travelling dress was a navy blue cripeline. The skirt was trimmed with pleaded frills on edge of tucks, the blouse was trimmed with pleated frills, with hat and veil to match, The guests spent a most enjoyable evening after the ceremony, games, etc., being heartily indulged in and enjoyed.
