    Mr. H. C. Duus died in the Rosemount Military Hospital on August 19 from the effects of his participation in the late war. On his return he took up land at the Beerburrum Soldier Settlement, but about five years ago he removed to Caboolture. He was a member of the Masonic Order, and the Indepandent Order of Oddfellows. He is survived by his widow, two sons, and five daughters.

    MR. HANS DUUS.
    Another old Mt. Morgann identity, Mr. Hans Duss passd away in Rosemount Military Hospital, Brisbane, on August 10th, after a long illness. "Patsy," as he was familiarly known, worked for many years in the Mt Morgan mine. He took a keen interest in lodge matters, particularly Oddfellowship, and for which his efforts were untiring. He rose to thc high position of Grand Master of Queensland, and when the war broke he enlisted and served abroad for three years. From the effects of war he never recovered and ultimately succumbed. The late Mr. Duss was 53 years of age and leaves a widow, five daughters and two sons to mourn their loss. They are at present residents of Caboolture.
