      Frederik Adolph Uldall

Frederik Adolph Uldall ( 1 October 1806 at the manor Espe near Korsør - 4 March 1873 ) was a Danish physician , son of General War Commissioner Johan Frederik Uldall and Maria Dorothea b. Købke .

Graduated from Borgerdydskolen in Copenhagen in 1825, he first took the surgical exam in 1830, then the medical exam, served the following years as a medical candidate at Frederik's Hospital, was from 1833 a general practitioner in Copenhagen, from 1834 a district doctor in Christianshavn. In 1833 he obtained both a licentiate and a doctorate in medicine. In 1836 he became a City Physicist in Fredericia and a Doctor at the City Hospital, which he established. In 1843 he was appointed Land Physicist in Zealand's Northern Physics, from which he resigned in 1871 due to weakness. He then privatized in Frederiksberg until his death. In 1852 he had become Justitsraad, in 1868 Etatsraad. He married 27 Sept. 1835 Elisabeth Johanne Sick (b. 30 Dec. 1809 d. 21 March 1900), Daughter of Secretary of the Foreign Department, LegationsraadChristian Frederik Sick .

In his work as a private physician and as a medical officer he was highly esteemed for his great sense of duty, his conscientiousness and humanity. But he has also made considerable profits from his extensive literary activity in the field of health police and medical legislation. The series of aids and manuals published by him in this direction are distinguished by accuracy and reliability and have therefore also won much acclaim, such as his "Handbook of the current Medicinal Law for Denmark" (1835), "Denmark's current civil legislation concerning the pharmacy" ), «Handbook in the current military Medicinal legislation for Denmark» (1836), «Handbook in the Health Police with special regard to Denmark, prepared for Physicians and Lawyers »(1840) - a Prize-winning crowned by the Medical Society Philiatrien - and finally his last Writing, the still widely used« The civil Medicinal legislation in the Kingdom of Denmark with northern Bilande and Colonies »(I-II 1863, III 1873 ). A special position in his production is occupied by the Prize-winning Crown Award: «Statistical Presentation and Critical Comparison of the Medicinal Constitutions of Twenty States with Special Consideration for the Danish and Ideas for its Reform» (I-II 1844). The reform proposals he made in this meeting met with strong objections in the time of the young liberalism because of their prominent bureaucratic tendency.A special position in his production is occupied by the Prize-winning Crown Award: «Statistical Presentation and Critical Comparison of the Medicinal Constitutions of Twenty States with Special Consideration for the Danish and Ideas for its Reform» (I-II 1844).
