MISS Mary Mildred King (eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. R King, of Maleny) was married to Mr. B. Bennett (son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Bennett, of Caloundra) in St. George's Church of England, Maleny, on May 11. The Rev. C. Biggens officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white cire satin with girdle entwined with pearls and finished with tassels. Her tiered veil fell from a coronet of orange blossom and pearls into a box pleated train sprinkled with orange blossom. She carried white tuberoses, stepharotis, and eucharis lilies. The two bridesmaids, Misses Jessie and Florence King, sisters of the bride, wore frocks of cornflower moire taffeta. Their cornflower silk net hats were in halo fashion finished with a red velvet rose of the same shade as their shower bouquets. Messrs. Dick Cottell and Rixson Burnett were best man and groomsman respectively. At the reception the guests were received by the bride's mother, who wore a navy matora frock with hat to tone, and carried pansies and jonquils. The bridegroom's mother wore a Burgundy costume in tunic effect, and her posy was of wallflowers and rosebuds in autumn tonings. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett left by car for Yamba, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride wore a floral lacquered satin blouse with her bottle green crepe bolera travelling suit and matching felt hat.
