- GIRL STRANGLED.
DRESS CAUGHT IN SEPARATOR.
LANDSBOROUGH. May 9.
At the Landsborough Police Station on May 8, before Mr. J. Bracewell, P.M., Acting Sergeant J. Burke conducted an inquest concerning the death of Elizabeth Annie Ball, aged 13 years, at Witta, on April 22. Evidence was given to the effect that the child was left in a shed on the dairy, where a separator was still moving after the milk had been treated. A little later, the girl was found dead lying on the separator with her face towards the ceiling. It was evident that the spindle of the machine had caught her dress, and had drawn it round her neck and choked her. The inquest was closed.
