A very pretty wedding was celebrated at St Peter's Presbyterian Church, Bondie Street, on July 19, when Beryl Margaret, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Esdale, George Street, and Andrew Frederick, eldest son of Mr and Mrs F. Bundesen, Yeppoon, were married by Rev. A. W. Fraser.
During the signing of the register, Mr T. George sang "O Promise Me."
The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of cloque material made with full-length sleeves, sweetheart neckline and a full skirt, which fell in graceful folds to the floor and ended in a long train. She wore a beautiful tulle embroidered veil and carried a lovely cascade trail of arum and eucharis lilies, roses and double gerberas, tied with white satin ribbons. When leaving the church the bride was presented with a white satin horseshoe.
Miss Heather Esdale, sister of the bride, was chief bridesmaid and Miss Thelma Bundesen, sister of the bridegroom, was assistant bridesmaid. They were frocked in blue and pink floor-length frocks, with three-quarter sleeves, sequined bodices and sweetheart necklines. They also wore blue and pink curvettes with shoulder length veiling and carried pretty shower bouquets of pink columbia and radiance roses, sweetpeas and gladioli, tied with pink and blue ribbons.
Mr O. Bundesen was best man and Mr C. Esdale groomsman. Miss L Esdale officiated at the organ.
The reception was held at the YWCA rooms, where the bride's mother and the bridegroom's mother received the guests. The bride's mother wore a frock of navy silk with matching accssories. The bridegroom's mother was frocked in floral silk with accessories to match. Rev. A. W. Fraser presided and Miss I. Esdale rendered a solo. A three-tiered wedding cake was.given pride of place on the table.
The couple left for Emu Park for a . short honeymoon.
