| Robert and Frances Woof Circa 1900, Buderim. Buderim - Personalities. Robert Woof arrived on Buderim Mountain in 1883 to work at Dixon and Fieldings' sugar mill. He selected 160 acres on the north west slopes (adjoining James Lindsay's property) and built a house for his wife Frances and their five children, Elizabeth, Mary, John, Esther and Frances. He engaged in some small crop farming and eventually extended to bananas and citrus. Robert and Frances (seated).
