WEDDING.
BUNDESEN-POWELL.
St. Luke's Church Church of England was chosen for thc wedding of Audrey Clair, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Powell, Campbell street. Rockhampton, and Bertie, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Bundesen, Gympie, which was celebrated last Thursday evening by the Rev. R. L. Jones. Mr. H. Hutcheon presided at the organ.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an exceedingly pretty frock of white georgette, with a tlght-fitting bodice and a fully flared skirt. The full cape collar and the skirt were scalloped with Valenciennes lace. Her embroidered tulle veil was arranged in the cap fashion with a wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of roses and sweet peas trimmed with tulle. Miss Dagma Powell (the bride's sister), who was the only bridesmaid, wore a dainty blue taffeta frock. The tight - fitting bodice had small puffed sleeves and the fully flared skirt was scalloped with taffeta frills and pink forget-me nots. Her pink straw hat toned with her frock and she carried an early Victorian posy of pink sweet peas and delphiniums with tulle and ribbon streamers. The bridal bouquets were made by Miss F. Bawden.
Mr. H. Leeson attended the bridegroom as best man.
Mrs. Powell (the bride's mother) chose a grey figured crepe de Chine gown with lemon trimmings and a grey felt hat. She carried a posy of violets and pansies tied with mauve ribbon. Mrs. Powell (Yaamba) wore black crepe de Chine with lemon trimmings and a mastic straw hat relieved with lemon. The wedding breakfast was held at tbe residence of tbe bride's parents and the the customary toasts honoured.
Mr. and Mrs. Bundesen subsequently left for their future home at Mackay. The bride travelled in a pretty brown reversible satin frock and a brown felt hat to match. They received numerous presents, including several substantial cheques.
