- Killed by a Tree.
The metropolitan police have received a telegram to the effect that a young man of 22 years, named Walter John Scott, was killed at Maleny on Monday by a falling tree. His body is stated to have been frightfully crushed, and death must have been instantaneous. A magisterial inquiry will probably be held in due course.
