I, Christian Nissen Kolbeck a Naturalized and Loyal Citizen of the United States, do hereby apply to the Department of State at Washington for a passport for myself and wife, and my minor child, as follows: Catharine Dorothea Kolbeck, born at Towsbul, Schleswig on the 4th day of February 1871, and Hans Jensen Kolbeck, born at San Francisco, California on the 1st day of February 1891.
In support of the above application, I do solemnly swear that I was born at Perbull. Schleswig, in Germany, on or about the 27th day of October, 1858; That I emigrated to the United States, sailing on board the Cunard Steamer, from Liverpool, on or about the 10th day of April, 1878; that I resided 13 years, uninterruptedly, in the United States from 1878 to 1891, at Montana and California; that I was naturalized as a citizen of the United States before the District Court of Second Judicial District of Territory of Montana, at Deer Lodge, on the 9th day of December, 1884, as shown by the accompanying Certificate of naturalization; that I am the Identical Person described in said Certificate; that I am domiciled in the United States, my permanent residence being at San Francisco, in the State of California where I follow the occupation of laborer; that I am about to go abroad temporarily; and that I intend to return to the United States within two years, with the purpose of residing and performing the duties of citizenship therein,

Further, I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the smae; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion: So Help Me God.
