    • Maria Frederica Bundesen was born in Victoria, Australia. Her birth is unergistered . From her death and burial record she would have been born in 1862. This cannot be correct as Frredrick Gotting , Amalie Kother's first husband died in 1863.

    (from our own correspondent.)
A concert and lecture took place at the Drill Shed on Tuesday evening, the proceeds of which are to aid the flunds of the District Hospital. The lecture, by Walter Hill, Esq.- subject :. " .Mnnifestations of Character." - Concert : Mr Bundersen and the Glee Club. Mr J. Gow occupied the chair. The entertainment was opened with a fine overture, consisting of selections from Meyerbeer, by Messrs Guthiel (piano) and Loring (violin), and the programme was gone through in the following order : Opening Chorus ; " Awake, Æolian Lyre ;" Solo, " Robert, toi, que, j'aime," and as an encore (waltz) from " Strauss," Mrs Bundersen ; " Life's a Bumper," Glee Club ; first part of Lecture ; "Ye Gentlemen of England," Glee Club ; Solo, " Masaniello," and as an encore, " Image of the Rose ;" Mrs Bundersen ; " When shall we meet again," Glee Club ; solo, " Phoebe, dearest, tell, oh tell me !" Mr Little ; second part of Lecture ; "To all you ladies now on land," Glee Club; solo, "The Lugger," Mr Young ; " Health to my dear," Glee Club ; " God Save the Queen," solo (Mrs Bundersen), and Chorus Company. The lecture was highly instructive and amusing, and which, without being either phrenological or physiognomical alone, combined a number of the many recognised theories by which you detect the character of man, and the subject was handled in a masterly manner by the lecturer. The overture was decidedly the best I have heard for some time. The gem part song was " Awake, Æolian Lyre," and Mrs Bundersen's solos were, as usual, excellent, especially "Robert, toi, que, j'aime." which was a perfect gem. The solos of Mersrs Little and Young were also very good. Altogether it comprised a fine evening's enjoyment. Mr Malfroy thanked the lady and gentlemen for their kindness in coming forward at the entertainment in a few suitable remarks, the audience for attendance, and the volunteers for the use of Drill Shed.
