    • HODGENS-SIMPSON.
A marriage of interest to many North Coast and Brisbane residents was celebrated In St Andrew's Presbyterian Church Brisbane, by Rev. N. Millar on August 8. The bridegroom was Mr. F. W. Hodgens (son of Mrs Hodgens. Upper Peachester and of the late Mr Hodgens) Ťand the bride Miss Grace Simpson (elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Simpson, Beerwah). The bride, who was given away by her father was gowned in floral silk georgette, fashioned with pintucks and a double-tiered skirt. She added a coat of pale lavender, and her fine straw hat was relieved with a spray of pale blue flowers Miss Esme Simpson (sister of the bride), who attended as bridesmaid, wore a frock of pink crepe de Chine, finished with mastic georgette edged with fine lace Her mastic hat was ornamented to match her dress. Mr. R. Simpson (brother of the bride) was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at Miss. O. Simpson's residence, and later Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Hodgens left for Tamborine Mountain, where the honeymoon is being spent.
