The Co-op was formed at a meeting at Joseph McCarthy's residence near Mountain View Road, on 3 May 1903. The first cans of cream were treated at the Maple Street Butter Factory on the 19 December 1904 and the first shareholder to deliver cream was Mr Alec Bryce of Reesville. The Co-op had three butter factories in all, the last one ceased processing butter in July 1981. The Co-op amalgamated with the Caboolture Co-op on 1 July 1978. Caboolture Co-op then amalgamated with other dairy co-ops in late 1989 forming Queensco.
