      Lindenborg is a manor house in Blenstrup Parish in Rebild Municipality in Himmerland , where the road between Aalborg and Hadsund intersects Lindenborg Å

      The buildings can be traced back to 1367 , then under the name Næs, and were destroyed in 1534 during the Count's feud It was then owned by Jørgen Friis , Bishop of Viborg. [2]

      The current main building was built in 1583 - 1616 . Apart from a few changes, the exterior of the castle has been preserved to this day. In the period 1673 -81 the property was called Daasborg. In 1681 it gets its present name, being elevated to barony

      Estrup is a Danish family whose ancestor, Christen Estrup (died 1757), who was first a tenant at Lindenborg Estate , later living in Nibe , became the father of town and town hall clerk in Elsinore , state councilor Lauritz Christian Estrup (1753-1826) and to magister Peder Estrup (1756-1818), who with great skill held the office of rector in Randers , where he later worked as parish priest and provost . The latter's eldest daughter married professor, conference councilor Laurids Engelstoft , his sons were mayor of Odense , conference councilor Christian Estrup(1790-1868), who left no sons, the doctor Peder Jungersen Estrup (1791-1830), who went into Russian service, but whose descendants live in this country, and the historian, state councilor , dr.phil. Hector Frederik Janson Estrup , who was the father of the statesman, council president Jacob Brønnum Scavenius Estrup (1825-1913). This was i.a. father of chamberlain , court huntsman Hector Estrup to Ormstrup and Kongsdal (1860-1914), to Adam Estrup to Fårupgård (1864-1934) and to cand.theol. Jacob Estrup to Skaføgård (1870-1941).

Niels Rudolph Estrup (1899-1973) to Skaføgård and Fjeld, who was married to Thalia born Baroness Wedell-Wedellsborg and parents to the national economist , professor , dr.polit and chamberlain Hector Estrup (1934-2016) to Skaføgaard, court huntsman, forestry candidate Vilhelm Estrup (1936-2013) to Fjeld and civil engineer, dr.merc. Christian Estrup(1939-1995). Jacob Estrup (1897-1987) was the father of chamberlain, court hunter Iakob Estrup to Kongsdal (1925-2012), who was the father of chamberlain, court hunter Hans Iakob Estrup to Kongsdal (born 1960).

      Court huntsman Vilhelm Estrup to Fjeld was the father of Vibeke Estrup (born 1971), actress Regitze Estrup (born 1974) and court huntsman Frederik Emil Valdemar Estrup (born 1977) to Fjeld.

      Master of Science in Engineering, HD, dr.merc. Christian Estrup (1939-1995) was married to secretary of the Hofmarskallatet Birgitte Estrup (1943-2009), and together they were the parents of mechanical engineer, MA Adam Peter Estrup (born 1964), married to court huntsman Dorte Fonnesbech-Wulff Estrup to Vesterbygaard , cand .ling.merc. Louise Estrup (born 1966) and cand.med., PhD, Thalia Marie Blicher (born 1970).

      Another Hector Frederik Jansen Estrup (1854-1904) was the son of hospital director Laurits Carl Constantin Estrup and became an architect in Horsens . His son, journalist Lauritz Albert Zwergius Estrup (1890-1974) was mayor of Copenhagen and father of the national economist and politician Jørgen Frederik Grundtvig Estrup (born 1942).

      Master of Science in Engineering , dr.phil. Knud Karl Vibe Estrup (1884-1978) also belongs to the family.
