Clerk Original registrations and promissory notes 1646-1655
Ole Degn: Rich and poor in Ribe. Volumes 1-2 from 1981, in volume 2 pages 92-101 have an overview of most of the probates 1646-1660, where the deceased and spouse are listed.
In some of the shifts it says that the child gets free food, shoes, clothes and lessons (to keep it to honor and learn) until the child becomes e.g. 14 years, which is stated as: "under 14 years".
If there is instead free food etc. for 5 years, state: "free food for 5 years".
The family relationships are not always specified, so it is with some reservations that I state these in the first protocols, just as there may be more children than those indicated.
The following abbreviations are used:
A: heir / heirs
B: child / children
E: widow / widower
