Marriage 25 Jun 1930  Northern Star, Lismore, NSW Find all individuals with events at this location
The marriage was celebrated at the
    Methodist Church, Tenterfield on June
14, of Grace Wotherspoon, niece of
Mrs. E. Thome, of "The Pines," to
Colin, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Kline, of
Tenterfield. The bride, who was given
away by her father, wore an old world
frock of ivory moire, with tight fit
ting bodice and ankle length flared
skirt. Her Honiton lace veil was
caught with orange blossoms and fell
to form a train. White roses set in
tulle, made a dainty bouquet. The
bride was, attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Ruby Kline, sister of the bridegroom, and little Miss Tess
Condie, cousin of the bride, whose blue
    frocks, made a colourful background
for the bride's all white toilette. Their taffeta frocks were made on similar lines to the bride's. The first bridesmaid carried a sheaf of yellow jonquils, and the brides tiny cousin had a posy of rosebuds. Mr. N. H. E. Jennings was best man. During the signing of the register, Miss Beatrice Morton sang
    "Because."
After the ceremony, the bride's aunt,
Mrs. E. Thorne, received the guests at
"The Pines." Her frock was of black
carmen, relieved with floral, and she
carried a posy of red roses. The
    bridegroom's mother who also chose
black, had a posy of mauve stocks.
All the bouquets were the work of Miss
    Caldwell of Grafton. The bridegroom's
gift to the bride was a cut glass necklace and the bride's to the bridegroom a wristlet watch. When leaving for the honeymoon the bride covered her figured travelling frock with a smart tweed coat and added a close fitting hat of grey felt.
