|' THE BREECHES BIBLE.|
Presentation to The King's School.
In view of the fact that a copy of the Breeches Bible has been received in Melbourne, it is of interest to note that a Breeches Bible, together with the Elkon-Basilike of Charles I and the Commonplace Book by the celebrated Locke has been recently pre- sented to The King's School, Parramatta by the Misses Mowle of Spencer Lodge, Woollahra.
The Breeches Bible which is in a good state of preservation, is bound up with the Book of Common Prayer, and was brought to Australia in 1840 by the Misses Mowle's maternal grandfather, the Rev. William West Simpson, who for some years was headmaster of the school. The books are housed in the school library.'
