Marjorie loved this school and made lifelong friends with Maureen Cox (who married Ronald Hosegood). |
. |
In the 1970s Marjorie compiled all that she knew of her ancestors. She visited churches in Hethersett, Colton and other Norfolk villages gathering and collating information, and also visited the archives at Somerset House. That information forms the basis of the Lincoln family tree you see here.
The photographs come from two large Victorian photograph albums which had been passed down to her, and to which she had wisely added as many names as she could remember. |

[*The Navy List at https://deriv.nls.uk/dcn23/9346/93466081.23.pdf has two candidates for this man. Sg/Lt/Cdr Thomas Frank Miles RN, MRCS, LRCP (p.130) is more likely to have known my father given his profession. There's also T.F.J Miles Sub-Lieutenant RNR with HMS Byrsa (a shore establishment in Algeria) (p.639).
