  • Notes  Marriage Notice:

    • The wedding of Mr. George Leonard Macdonald (eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A, Macdonald, Witta) and Miss Muriel Winifred Mona Cooke (fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. K. Cooke, Maleny) was solemnised by the Rev. H. K. Cornish at the residence of the bride's parents on April 24. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of cream mylesta over pink, with a pink felt hat swathed with georgette. She carried a bouquet of pink and white cactus dahlias, which was the gift Of Mrs. E. Jolly, Toowong. The matron of honour, Mrs. Allan Cooke (sister-in-law of bride), wore a frock of blue and floral ray de Chine-, trimmed with lace. The duties of groomsman were carried out by Mr. William Cooke (brother of the bride). At the reception at the bride's parents' residence the bride's mother received the- guests wearing navy Marocain with mastic trimmings. On leaving for Brisbane, where their future home will be, the bride wore a frock of beige crepe de Chine, with a hat to tone.
