Marriage:
- At Diamantina Lakes, on Tuesday 29th September, Mr Edward Charles Lamb, manager of Brighton Downs station, on the Diamantina River, son of Mr Edward William Lamb, an old colonist, who was Minister for Lands in the Macalister Ministry nearly thirty years ago, and Miss Doris Harden, daughter of Mr Carl Harden, a very old resident of Rockhampton, were married by Mr.Edward Archer Shaw, J.P., a justice authorised to celebrate marriages. Miss Shaw and Miss Muriel Shaw were bridesmaids, and Mr. Foster Furey best man. The simple civil marriage office was over by 8.15 am., when the wedding breakfast was partaken of, after which Mr. and Mrs. Lamb started off to drive to Brighton Downs.
