    Other Events:

    • Obituary: 10 Feb 1904, Australian Town and Country Journal, Sydney, NSW; Mrs. Ison, of Mogo (Moruya district), died on January 29, aged 96, having fallen a victim to diarrhoea. The funeral was a very largely-attended one, fully 150 people being present, and all walked to the cemetery from Mogo. Not a carriage, save the hearse, was visible, and none rode on horseback, a striking departure from the customary practice. It is very gratifying to see so many women present to pay their last respects to a departed sister. The Rev. J. Thomas conducted the service, and his address was listened to with marked attention and apparently deep interest. Mrs. Ison leaves a very large number of relatives, including her daughter, Mrs. Richard Annetts, sen.; her granddaughter, Mrs. Arthur Windley; and her great-great-granddaughter, Baby Windley. There are about 90 descendants, the majority of whom live about Mogo. (Photo, by D. W. Hespe, Moruya.) Australian Town and Country Journal, Sydney, NSW, Wednesday, 10 February 1904 FIVE GENERATIONS.
