Kvistrup
Kvistrup was originally part of Tvis Kloster's estate and can be dated all the way back to 1163.
Ownership history

Kvistrup's history goes back a long way, and the farm is first mentioned as early as 1163. At that time, Kvistrup was possibly under Tvis Kloster as a barn. The farm continued through the Middle Ages under the monastery, but was placed under the Crown by the Reformation in 1536. Upon the transition to Protestantism, all ecclesiastical estates were included under the Crown and the monasteries closed.

The noble Oluf Munk took over Kvistrup from the Crown in 1547. He should have gone the way of the church and succeeded his uncle as bishop of Ribe, but instead he was imprisoned for a year after 1536. Since then his reputation rose again, he became royal sheriff and could in 1547 buy Tvis Kloster, and thus Kvistrup, as well as the nearby Volstrup.

Despite his background as a Catholic clergyman, Oluf Munk married, and his son, Ludvig Munk, inherited Kvistrup on his father's death in 1569. The farm became owned by the family for another generation, but in 1613 the grandson had to sell due to financial problems.

Kvistrup was taken over by the equally noble family Juul. The other Juul on the farm, Axel Juul, did not have much interest in the practical life on the farm, and after two generations of Juuls, Kvistrup came into bourgeois hands and has been since.

Rasmus Nielsen Overgaard became the first bourgeois owner of Kvistrup in 1681, but not without opposition from the nobility. Baron Christian Juel from the estate Rysensteen claimed the rights over Kvistrup, as his ancestors had owned the farm for generations. However, Juel did not succeed in taking over the farm, and Rasmus Nielsen Overgaard remained the owner until his death, after which his son Niels Overgaard inherited Kvistrup.

The farm then had changing owners for a period before it in 1717 passed to Jens Hvass. At his death, the widow Anne Magdalene took over Moldrup, who soon got a new fiancé. Before they could get married, she died, but her fiancé, Henrik Fischer, was already determined as heir, and he therefore became Kvistrup's next owner until his death in 1794. Fischer sold off the estate to the individual tenant farmers.

Over the next hundred years, the farm had changing owners. Among these is Rasmus Ægidius, who modernized the farm's old operation and made the farm one of the county's leading dairy farms.

Peter Olufsen bought Kvistrup in 1889 and it is his descendants who still in 2013 own the farm. Svend Olufsen started together with Peter Bang the radio factory Bang & Olufsen in Kvistrup 1925-1927.

Hvolgaard was Ribebispen's county in the time up to the Reformation in 1536, when all bishop's estate passed to the Crown. Hvolgaard was between 1870 and 1919 owned by Ludvig August Steensen-Leth, who appeared in the press due to a dispute over the right to a throne in Langskov church.

The old Hvolgaard, which is mentioned in 1775, was a three-winged half-timbered courtyard, but exactly how old it was is unknown.

In 2013, the main building is still a three-winged facility. This appears whitewashed on one floor.
