Funeral services were held Friday in the Community church, for Carl Christian Johnson, who died at his home Wednesday after several years illness. The Rev. F.H. Mau officiated. He was born at Tinningstedt, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, and came to Almira January, 1906. He was married to Sophia Petersen at Davenport in August, 1907. They lived on a farm north of Almira where four sons were born. Mrs Johnson died in 1942. Mr. Johnson was married to Mary Jo Daggett in 1943. Mr. Johnson was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Knights of Pythias, and the Highland Grange. Survivors are his wife, at the home, three sons, Howard M. of Almira, Walter C. of Chelan, and Earl C. of Wenatchee: a stepdaughter, Norma Stosalovith of Wallace, Idaho: a stepson, Lt., Georald Dagget of Long, Beach, Calif. and ten grandchildren.
