    • Obituary: 25 Jul 1918, The Ararat Advertiser, Victoria; MRS ANNIE SWEENEY. It will be learned with regret by many old friends of the death of Mrs Annie Sweeney, of Rhymney, relict of the late Patrick Sweeney, the sad event occurring at the residence of her daughter, Mrs Mahoney, Ararat, yesterday morning, at the age of 56 years. Mrs Sweeney, who was a native of Pyalong, in the Kilmore district, came to Ararat some 38 years ago when a girl of nineteen, and has since resided at Rhymney, winning the esteem of a wide circle of friends by the exercise of many amiable qualities. Mrs Sweeney had been suffering for some time from heart trouble, and several weeks since came into Ararat for medical treatment. She leaves a family of three sons, Mr Terence Sweeney, of Rhymney, and Messrs James (Streatham), and Michael (Meriang), and three daughters, Mrs Lloyd, of Great Western; Mrs J. Mahoney, of Ararat, and Miss Mary Sweeney. The remains of the deceased are to be interred in the Ararat Cemetery this afternoon.     • Obituary: 27 Jul 1918, The Ararat Advertiser, Victoria; OBITUARY. MRS ANNIE SWEENEY. he funeral of the late Mrs Annie Sweeney, relict of the late Mr Patrick Sweeney, of Rhymney, whose death was recorded in our last issue, took place on Thursday afternoon last, when her remains were interred in the Ararat Cemetery. The cortege, which moved from her son-in-law's (Mr J. Mahoney) residence, Vincent street, was a large and representative one of the country districts. The service at the grave was conducted by the Rev. Father Conlon, of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, and the remains were interred in the family grave. The coffin-bearers were Messrs H. Owen, P. Pola, H. Grellet, J. M'Guann. The pall bearers were Messrs M. Heenan, J. Pola, E.,Gavin, J. Hurley, F. Symmington, T. O'Brien, J. M'Guan and G. Brady. Mr J. Dunn carried out the funeral arrangements.
