      MR. W. H. HALL, AGED 80,
      DEAD
      Mr William Henry Hall who died yesterday at his home at Norwood, was one of the pioneers of the Lower North. Born at Newcastle on Tyne, England, 80 years ago, he came to Australia with his parents in the Northern Light. He was four years old when he landed at Port Adelaide. The family
      went to live at Angaston.
      When he left school he worked with his father at the
      building trade. Tanunda Post Office and Mount Pleasant
      Police Station are among the buildings they erected.
      Mr. Hall rode horses at country race meetings at
      Stockwell. Hamilton, and Marrabel. With Mr. William Player
      he contracted to break in 100 horse for the late Mr. C. B.
      Fisher at Buckland Park.
      Later he helped to drive 10,000 sheep from Port Lincoln
      to Port Augusta.
      The journey occupied six months. MIr. Hall afterward became a builder and contractor at Blyth, When the railway line was constructed from Kadina to Snowtown he moved to Snowtown
      and built the first store, mill, and church there, and several houses.
      Mr. Hall was one of the founders of Toorak Bowling Club, of which he was a past president.

    MR. W. H. HALL
    Mr. William Henry Hall, who died
    at his home in Norwood on Monday,
    was born in Newcastle-on-Tyne, England, on November 12, 1850. After
    leaving Angaston, where his parents
    settled, he married Mary Ann Stoddart Sinclair, of Green Patch station,
    Port Lincoln, and carried on business
    at Moonta, Blyth, and Snowtown. In
    partnership with the late Mr. John
    Young, he carried on the business of
    millers, general storekeepers, and owners of Mt. Templeton sheep station.
    Mr. Hall was actively associated with
    political, civic and church life at Snowtown, and was president of the Farmers and Producers' Political Union of S.A. He retired to live in Adelaide
    27 years ago, but took an active interest in business until his death.
    When he visited England in 1910 he
    had an honorary commission to enquire into and report upon the dairying and poultry industries in Great Britain and Europe and the question of migration to South Australia from the United Kingdom. He leaves a widow and the following family:-
