HOFFMAN-TOMS
St. Mark's Church of England, Bauple, was artistically decorated by the members, of the guild last Monday for the wedding of Miss Kathleen Patricia Toms only daughter of Mrs. S. Toms and the late Mr. W. M. Toms, of Boswell Terrace, Wynnum Central) to Mr. John Archibald Hoffman (second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Hoffman, of Gootchie). The Rev. H. Glazier officiated.
The bride, who was given away by her uncle. Mr. R. G. Patterson, of Manly, wore a maize linen suit with brown accessories. Mrs. Walter Hoff man (cousin of the bride), who acted as matron of honour, wore ice blue linen with navy accessories.
Mr. Walter Hoffman was best man. The reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hoffman.

BAUPLE. February 1.-A wedding of much interest to residents of Bauple and Gootchie districts was celebrated in St. Mark's Church of England, Bauple on Monday, January 27.
The interior of the church was artistically decorated for the occasion by members of the Ladies' Guild.
The bride, Kathleen Patricia Toms, only daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. W. M. Toms, Boswell Terrace, Wynnum Central, had resided with her parents in the Bauple district in her childhood days. The bridegroom, John Archibald Hoffman, was the second son of Councillor and Mrs. W. A. Hoffman, Gootchie.
The Rev. H. Glazier, Tiaro, performed the ceremony, and Mrs. R. K. Bradford presided at the organ.
The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. K. G. Patterson, of Manly, wore a maize linen suit with brown accessories.
Mrs W. Hoffman junr., cousin of the bride) wore ice-blue linen with navy accessories.
Mr. W. Hoffman junr., was best man. During the signing of the register Mr. Slattery, of Brisbane, sang "O Promise Me."
The reception, which was limited to close relatives of the bridal couple, was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. Hoffman junr. The young couple were the recipients of many beautiful presents. After the reception they left by car for Maroochydore where the honeymoon will be spent.
