    WEDDING
JESSEN-WALKER.-The Surface Hall Methodist Church, Gympie, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday, March 11, of Duicie Doreen, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Walker, "Ellins Vale," Kilcoy, to John Colin, third son of Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Jessen, "Riverview," Gundiah. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. T. Andreassen, looked charming in a frock of white lace, finished with a veil, held in place by a bandeaux of orange blossoms. Miss Joyce Walker, sister of the bride, who attended as bridesmaid, was frocked in pink satin, while Mr. Mervyn Jessen, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The Rev. G. E. Holland, officiated. Mrs. Holland presided at the organ. As the bride was leaving the church, Mrs. Lorna Cavanagh hung a beautilul horseshoe on her arm. The reception was held at Paul's Cafe, Gympie, where the guests were received by the mothers of the bridal couple. A beautiful two-tier wedding cake formed the centre piece of the table. The happy couple left to spend their honevmoon at Caloundra and Gympie, the bride wearing a blue travelling frock, with white accessories. Their future home will be "Riverview," Gundiah.
