A very pretty wedding was celebrated on thursday, August 22nd., at the Church of England by the Rev. Hamlyn Harris, the contracting parties being Miss Nellie Moore and Mr. Christian Jessen, third son of Mr. Andrew Jessen, Wooroolin. The bride was given away by her father, and looked very nice in a tasteful greatcoat and skirt. The chief bridesmaids were Miss Alice Andersen, niece of the bridegroom and Miss Alice Jessen, sister of the bridegroom, who wore silk dresses and hats trimmed with orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of flowers. The wedding breakfast took place at the Great Western Hotel, and was provided by a sister of the bridegroom, who made all the arrangements to make the wedding a success.

Among those present were Mr. Moore, father of the bride; Mrs Bundesen, sister of the bridegroom; Mr. and Mrs Wade, Mr. Lang, Mr. Stormonth, Mr. and Mrs. Jessen, Misses Andersen, Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Andersen, Mr. J. McReynolds, Mrs. Sweetman and many others.

Mr. Jack Jessen, brother of the bridegroom, who acted as best man, made a very appropriate speech. Mr. L. Lang also spoke, and Messrs A. Jessen, Moore, and Stormonth, replied on behalf of the newly married couple.

Miss Lena Wolgahst, assisted by misses Kate and Girlie Andersen attended to the table. In the centre was a three storied wedding cake, which was made by the niece (Miss Girlie Andersen).

The presents were handsome and costly, including cheques from all the relatives; Mr. McCauley, a silver tea pot; Mrs McWade, cow and calf; Mr. Lang, cheque; Mr and Mrs. Peakes, dinner set; and others to numerous to mention.

The honeymoon is being spentat Benaraby, near Gladstone. The wedding party continued, and at night there was dancing and games until an early hour of the morning.

Miss Mary Brandt designed the table decorations. Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Andersen carried out the arrangements. Mr. Jack Jessen was Master of Ceremonies and Miss Lena Jessen presided at the piano.
