    A very pretty wedding was celebrated on Wednesday the 21st July, at the Baptist Church, Fort Street, Maryborough, the contracting parties being Miss Annie Elizabeth King, youngest daughter of Mrs George A. King, and Mr Val Leslie Jeppeson, eldest son of Mr Walddemar Jeppeson, of Coolabunia. The bride looked charming as she entered the church on the arm of her cousin, Mr. W. Gitsham, who gave her away, and was prettily attired in a dress of ivory white charmeuse, made in directoire style; bodice had a yoke of finely tucked chiffon, outlined with rose point lace. She wore a beautiful wreath and veil, and carried a shower bouquet. She was attended by four bridesmaids: Miss K. Jeppeson, chief (sister of the bridegroom), Miss E. Gees (cousin of the bride), and Miss G. King and Miss. E. Young (both cousins of the bride).
    Miss K. Jeppeson was attired in a cream Silician; the skirt being made Empire style, and trimmed with buttons, the bodice was trimmed with pretty cream insertion and ball trimmings. Miss. E. Gees was also was attired in a cream Silician, the skirt being kilted. The bodice was made with transparent yoke, and trimmed with insertion and ball trimmings. They also carried bouquets. The two younger bridesmaids were prettily dressed in pale blue, trimmed with white baby lace; they also wore pale blue hats to match, and they carried wands, with streamers and flowers.
    The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold bamboo bangle, and to the two older bridesmaids gold brooches, and to the little tots, gold lace pins; and the bride's gift to the bridegroom was a Gladstone bag. The bridegroom was attended by his brother Edward as best man, and Mr Pollock (Kingaroy) as groomsman.
    After the wedding ceremony was performed the party drove to the photographers and then to the residence of the bride's mother, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was partaken of. Later on the happy couple left by the 4.30 train for Brisbane, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride travelled in a silver grey eolienne made Empire style; tucked yoke, and finished with silk applique. She also wore a very pretty hat to match. The dresses of the bride were made by Ganly and Co., Miss E. Gee's dress, and Miss F. Young's were made by the bride herself. The bride's bouquet and one of the bridesmaid's, were made by Mrs. E. Goodwin, sister of the bride. The wedding cake was made by Barbeler Bros.
    The presents were numerous and costly; Mre. G. King, (mother of the bride) handsome pair of vases, moustache cup and wedding trousseau; Mr. and Mrs. Jeppesen, bed and bed linen; Mrs. E. Goodwin, lard tray; Miss Kate Jeppeson, jam tray and silver frame; Mr. F. Jeppesen, ink stand; Mr. and Mrs. W. Young, fancy teapot; Mr. and Mrs R. Gees, pretty afternoon tea set; Mr. and Mrs. W. Gitsham, clock; Miss E. Gees, cut glass fruit stand; Miss E. Young, fancy cake basket; Miss G. King, silver-mounted oak biscuit barrel; Mrs. Moy, dinner cruet; Mrs. G. Holme, pair glass dishes, cheese bowel, egg cruet, glass jug, and tumblers; Mrs. G. Faggg, pair door mats; Mrs. Capt. MacDonald, pair vases and teapot; Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Masters, bible; Mrs. Hart, glass butter dish and sugar basin; Mrs. H. King, cheque; and many others to numerous to mention, including a lot up at Kingaroy.
