The members of the Rosewood Tennis Club had afternoon tea on the court on Saturday, March 8th, the primary object being to give a send-off; to Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Bundeson and daughters, who are leaving this locality for Kingaroy district. Thc captains of three other local Tennis Clubs were iuvited to bs present. In making the presentation, the chairman said thit Mr. Bundeson was one the foundcrs the the club and owner of the land on which the court was built. Mr. Bundeson had done everything, in his power to promote the interests of the club and had endeavoured to maintain a congenial atmosphere amongst the players, while he had always been willing to assist any of thc residents who required his aid, often, sacrificing his time and pleasure to do so. Mr. Bundeson ranked amongst the most conscientious and best citizens of Hartley. In presenting Mr. Bundeson with a pair of gold sleeve links, suitably engraved, the chairman hoped that Mr. Bundeson would always remember the very many pleasant incidents he enjoyed in company with, the donors. Mrs. Bundeson was presented with a nice sunshade and mention was made of the good work she had done for the club, while on many occasions she allowed the use of her house and utensils for visitors. Little Edna and Nell Bundeson each received a pretty china cup, saucer and plate Mr.and Mrs. J. Richardson took advantage ot the occasion to present Mr. Bundeson with a box of pure linen handkerchiefs, Mrs. Bundeson a nice Irish linen hem stitched, table cloth and little Edna and Nell a box of beautiful guipure edged handkerchiefs in token of the respect nnd admiration they held for the departing residents. The function closed with the singing of "They Are Jolly Good Fellows." All spent a pleasant and enjoyable afternoon.
