Croxen-Hill.
The marriage of Mr. Frank Croxen and Miss Florence Hill was celebrated at Holy Trinity Church on Tuesday evening, by Rev. H. S- Hollow.M.A. The bride, who was given away
by her father, was dressed in a richly embroidered robe of Brussels net over white silk, ruched sleeves, bodice finished with white silk tassels. A wreath of orange blossom and veil with shower bouquet of choice white flowers completed a handsome costume. The bridesmaids, the Misses
L. and M. Hill, sisters of the bride, wore pretty white silk dresses, new style hats, and carried crooks of pink flowers. The gold bangles worn were the gifts of the bridegroom. The attendant groomsmen were Messrs. J. Rendall and Alf. Hill. After the ceremony, the bridal party and guests adjourned to the Temperance Hall, where tha reception and breakfast took place. The tables were tastefully arranged in the lower hall. Gay bunting, flowers and carpets made the room look very attractive. The usual toasts were received with musical honours, the first being that of 'The bride and bridegroom,' proposed by Mr. Seaton. The bridegroom responded in a few well chosen words. Mr. Stokem proposed 'The bridesmaids,' Mr. J. Rendall responding. That of 'The parents' was spoken
to by Mr. R. W. Murdoek. Mr. Hill, senr., responded in a characteristic speech, and concluded by proposing
the health of Mr. and Mrs. Murdock, the latter responding.
The catering was efficiently carried out by Mr. G. Ward, of Bay Street.
The remainder of the evening was filled in with dances and games, and the following items:-Song, Mr. Holt; recitations, Mrs. Seaton, Miss M. Dorritt, Mr. James, Mr. Seaton. A
song by little Miss James was of more than ordinary merit. Ryan's band supplied the music for the dances, and a very enjoyable evening closed at a late hour.
The happy couple were the recipients of many handsome presents, both useful and ornamental.
