  	OBITUARY MR. G. A. MARSDEN-75 Years The death occurred at the Mater Misericordiae HosPital, North Sydney on Monday last, of Mr. George Albert Marsden, at the age of 75. He was well known at Minnamurra, where he r;esided for more than twenty years, leaving there on hs retirement about two and a half years ago. For a time he was engaged in the quarry which was opened at Minnamurra by Mr. Trevethan and later acquired by the New South Wales Blue Metal Company. The late Mr. Marsden was also for many years the postmaster at Minnamurra, a capable and courteous official, whose genial personality and kindly nature endeared him to all with whom he came in contact. He was a descendant of the Rev. Samuel Marsden,. who was celebrated in the early annals of New South Wales for his religious, missionary and philantropic activities and who in 1807 was largely responsible for the establishment of the first schools. Mr. Marsden is survived by his wife Mrs. Julia Marsden, two sons, Allan (Bombo) and Jim, who is serving with the A.I.F., and three daughters, Amy (Mrs. Bourke, Shelharbour) Ivy (Mrs. Elridge, Sydney) and Edie (Mrs. Raftery, Kiama) to all of whom sympathy is extended in their bereavement.
