    Miss Joan Marie Peterson and Richard Jorgen Christiansen, recently pronounced their marriage vows before Esther Cloherly at the St. Vincent Catholic Church in Petaluma. Their Bestman & Matron of Honor were Mr. and Mrs. Neal Ross, brother-in-law and sister of the bride.

    The new Mrs. Christiansen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Peterson of Petaluma. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Brightman of Beatrice.

    A reception was held at the home of the parents of the bride, after the wedding, with only immediately family present. The couple took a short wedding trip in Humboldt County. The bride graduated from Petaluma High School in June of this year and the groom attended Eureka High School.

    While the couple was in Humboldt, a party was given for the bridal couple at the home of the grooms parents in Beatrice. Some of those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Christiansen, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Christiansen, Sonya and Chris, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Christiansen, Kenneth and Lynda of Loleta.

    The groom is currently in the US Navy, stationed at Portownsend, Washington, where they will make their home at present.
