"Mr. RIGG's mat ernal grandfather was the lat e Mr. George ASHBURNER, who carried out busi ness as a malst er, his malting house being situated at Gibralter, Dalt on . The late Mr. ASHBURNER was one of the founders of Wesleya n Methodi sm in Dalton and was for many years a lay preacher , a fact which is recor ded upon a mural tablet in the Dalto n Chapel".
